Check out this incredible new book The Social Science of QAnon, edited by Monica Miller (2023), published by Cambridge University Press.

Stuart Wright and I collaboratively wrote the closing chapter of this incredible volume, titled “The Future of QAnon: Emergent Patterns of Social Movement Adaptation and Change”. We examine the conspiracy theory movement’s trajectory after many of their predictions (particularly about Trump’s return to power in the US) have failed to materialize and it has increasingly faced bans across numerous major social media platforms. We focus especially on its adaptability and frame bridging into the realm of religion as well as transnationally into new cultural contexts.

The book is officially available now in electronic and hard copies. You can find a preprint version of our chapter here on ResearchGate.
